“Ramchandra is from Sholapur district of Maharashtra his small village Borale is in Mangalvedha Tehsil. Sholapur is on e of very famous district of the Maharashtra state because of God Pandurang of Pandharpur. Pandurang is identified as a worshiping god of Maharashtra this is very famous pilgrimage place. When Ramchandra was studying in 2nd standard his father died. The disabled mother was hanging up with many difficulties because the earner of the house was gone & now all the responsibilities of her 3 children are felled on her. In this very difficult time his Mother left the village for livelihood at Sholapur where her sister in law Name Dhammamitra Mrs. Patiltai was staying. Patiltai was working as a cook in B H hostel at Sholapur. She introduced Omerga hostel to the mother of Ramchandra & through this way he wrote admission form, looking at his need and situation Omerga staff & admission committee decided to give him admission. Small Ramchandra std 5th came to stay in the hostel, he was really homesick that time and also his background was belong to high castes in Indian society who doesn’t thinks to live with sc, st, vjnt, obc students together. But because of poverty and the difficult time of the mother & the love & caring by wardens he got the real place to develop himself. He enjoyed his educational life from 5th to 10th standard in the hostel, he did study hard & passed SSC with 80%, he was highest of his time within other 8 SSC hostel students. But we found that he was very much inspired by the vision of Babasaheb & Bhante. After SSC he Joined ITI for 2 years , as he completed it he got the job in Rane Axle pvt, ltd, co, at pune, but he could not be passive without contact with his hostel brother many of them are working in this big city for livelihood he had contact with them. Since Project base started hostel is making a data of Ex-student they found him through Vinod, warden called meeting of Ex in the hostel but they were unable to come at Omerga but Ramchandra doesn’t forget the hostel he was gathering ex-student together who works in pune & having meetings with them. He joined in ex students meeting in Manuski pune and became a co-chief of the Omerga BH Ex-students committee. He organized 1 ex students meetings in the hostel 1st time this year with other 8 Ex-students & donated Rs.6000/-to the hostel in need. We really have a proud of this students, he always says “my life has buildup by only and only hostel , that’s why I will do whatever I can for the hostel”

“Vidvan is born in Gurhal of Nilanga Tehsil, very far 62 kms. from Omerga at the border of Karnataka ,he has very big family with 3 elder sisters and one younger brother with his mother and father, his father is working as Mason for their livelihood & also drinker , but because of the inspiring words of Babasaheb that is educate ,organise & agitate , he exaggeratedly ambitious for the future welfare for his children’s education. Even today in India women’s & daughter not equally treated & not provided equal opportunity for their developments; his daughters are subsided for education. One day one of his daughters who is taking education in Omerga college visit to hostel requested for his brothers admission in the hostel, who was in 7th standard,”

“After observing his family background of poverty, isolated village area from the city, there was no any facility available for his further education, noticing his kind situation & eagerness for taking further education the hostel management decided to offer him the opportunity of hostel facility. But when he was in 10th, unfortunately communal conflict took place in the hostel among SC & ST,NT, boys, and Vidvan pulled in it. We warden were worried of this situation, that’s why we personally meet him & the other students also & try to settle them in harmony. We make him aware of his goal; he again started studying hard and achieved 90% marks in SSC examination. He honoured by school president in big programme, he expressed his fillings that “ I achieved my goal of 90% in SSC, that’s in because of B H hostel omerga , thanks to the hostel & my teachers”

After completing village education Every chilled must left his village for further education because the village had school up to only 4th standard that time. His father is agricultural labour and he also has to go out of his own village for livelihood, also he have to work n farm on the contract of one or more years, this is very exploiting system of labour in India, its call Vethbegar (force labour service) he is fully illiterate. Also he has another 3 son & 1 daughter.”

“One day Mr. Hiralal Pandhare (uncle of Suhas) came with Suhas at hostel & request to us for his admission. He told us tragedy of Suhas that his own mother is dead & his father has married to other lady, Because of poverty father had sent his only daughter to Bombay at his elder brother for look after her & admission in the hostel can change the future of Suhas. Warden s suggests submit the admission form. In his interview we asked him some question, why he want to stay in the hostel, even he is shy he answered that I want to learn as Babasaheb & want to became as big man as him. This answer by him is really beyond our expectations. We all wardens decided to give him admission, and the age of 10 Suhas left the home for education”

Enough water of boor well many rooms for staying, many toilets, study hall, Library room, etc., he really impressed by looking at hostel overall facilities we found even he passed 4th standard he is very weak in study .Wardens provide him educational material, stationary school uniform shoes, slipper s ,even we paid his school fees also ,he inspired by the guidance of wardens, when he was at home he was becoming sick again & again but in the hostel he became healthy by nutritious meal, he took part in all sports and sports team, he attend NCC and became a leader of NCC in the hostel, school selected him 2 times for Army training camp, Within 6 years we found that Suhas has shown his greatness in learning & in honesty .His teacher s said about him that “Suhas is one of the talented & active students in our school, wardens guide him to become a big officer in the Government in Goal setting programme, he confidently said that “I will become district collector or IPS using . In the time of send-off programme in the hostel 27.3.17 he expressed” I could complete my SSC only because of hostel, hostel is my family, I never forget hostel in my life, I will come back again & will help hostel to work for like me students of my society” We wardens are confident of him that he will get his success, & will serve for his family & society, what he himself said once on his birth day celebration in the hostel again.”

“Shilratna is studying in 10th this year, who is from sc category but staying with his 4 other family members at Aurad Tanda 2 kms away from Aurad village which is separate location of NT (Laman) people, his father is not much literate, hard drinkers & very cruel man when he drunks he always bits to his wife the mother of Shilratna. Because of poverty his father has to do hard labour work in others farm for his livelihood. Shilratna has 1 brother & 1 sister but his sister recently got married; he was staying at tanda with his parents & family members, His uncle is in jail because of murdered case, his father was also arrested.”

“We got this information from Mr. Lokhande one of our active stakeholders & the teacher of 1 village school where Shilratna was studying in 5th standard, teacher told us the story of shilratna & request us to give him admission shilratna has to walk 6 kms. To come at school & he also provide us his poor and bad situation.”

“Wardens visited to Tanda & recognised that Shilratna is really needs to come in the hostel, we decided to give him admission. Shilratna started the hostel life, startlingly he likes the hostel, he told that I am lucky that I got admission in the hostel, here I have good & tasty food , medicine, time to time health caring, wardens like mother & father &more than them they care us, enough water Because I have to walk 2 kms . For water at my place, 24 hours light for study there is Load shading for 12 hrs, big ground for play double bar, single bar, khokho, kabaddi ground and many friends for playing.”

“After some days, we observed that Shilratna is not regular in the hostel, he is going at home without wardens permission, after listen vulnerable Shilratna he said if when nobody at home his father drink s in the evening and bits his mother. Small shilratna wants to save his mom from biting. Wardens told to Madhav that if he wanted educational improvement of his son he must leave drinking. Because of his bad habit shilratna could not enjoy his school & hostel life.”

“Shilratna again started his school regular but we observed that he also has his own unwanted habit, to miss the classes & wondering with bad friend, very arrogant with other students & wardens. Many times he found engaged in quarrelling with the other boys in school and hostel, also his conflicts was made difficulties for hostel, because the people who trouble by him they went to police & it was faced by wardens, that’s why management was thinking to throw out him from the hostel,”
